If you are buying powder coating from China for the first time, you probably have dozens of questions. We answer them every day by email and WhatsApp. Here are the 20 we hear most often, answered in plain language – no marketing fluff, just the facts you need to make a confident first order.
Colour and Sample Questions
- Can you match my colour? Yes – send a RAL code, Pantone number or physical sample and we will match it.
- How do I get samples? We ship 1-5 kg sample boxes free of charge for serious buyers.
- How long does colour matching take? Stock colours ship in 3-7 days; custom colours take 7-15 working days.
- What is the colour tolerance? We hold delta-E within 1.0 for most colours against the approved master.
MOQ, Price and Payment Questions
- What is the MOQ? Stock colours start at 25 kg; custom colours typically 100 kg per colour.
- How much does powder coating cost? It depends on chemistry, colour and quantity – request a quote with your spec.
- What payment terms do you accept? T/T 30% deposit + 70% before shipment is standard for new buyers; L/C for large orders.
- Is there a discount for repeat orders? Yes – we offer volume pricing for annual contracts above 5 tonnes.
Quality and Certification Questions
- What certifications do you have? ISO 9001, and our products comply with RoHS and REACH; WRAS/ACS available for water-contact applications.
- Do you provide a Certificate of Analysis? Yes, every batch ships with a COA covering film thickness, gloss, colour and cure.
- What is the shelf life? 12 months from production date when stored cool, dry and sealed.
- Can you test on my actual parts? Yes – send us your parts or drawings and we will coat sample panels for your approval.
Shipping and Import Questions
- How long is the lead time? Production is typically 7-15 working days after approval; sea freight adds 25-45 days.
- Can I mix colours in one order? Yes, minimum 25 kg per colour, mixed in one shipment.
- What documents do you provide? Commercial invoice, packing list, COA, MSDS and certificate of origin.
- Is powder coating classified as dangerous goods? No – in normal packaging it is not classified as DG for transport.
- What is the best shipping method? Sea freight for container volumes; air or express courier for samples and urgent needs.
